This video explains every Beast Titan in the Attack on Titan anime and manga. The Beast Titan is one of 9 titan shifters in AOT and there have been several iterations of it throughout the series. In the AOT manga we have currently seen more beast titans than in the anime, which has only had 1 Beast Titan so far (Zeke Yaeger). The manga displays Beast Titans of the past, some of which have interesting designs. This video will explain the backstory of all Beast Titans (that we know of) and also commentate on the designs of the ancient titans. The Beast has the most variety when it comes to the design of each titan, as they all have their own unique animal characteristics. The first Beast Titan on this list is Tom Ksaver (previously known as Tom Xaver), who was an eldian researcher and a member of the Marlyean warrior unit. Unlike most warriors Tom wasn’t really a fighter and didn’t aspire to become a titan shifter until he was an adult. The first time we saw his character was during a flashback to Grisha Yaeger’s childhood, in which Grisha bumped into Tom on his way to see the airship. When he was selected as the Beast titan, Ksaver’s real job was to help Marley better understand the power of the titans thanks to his research. With the power of a titan shifter, Tom Xaver spent the years searching through the memories of previous beast titans in order to learn more about their history. Ksaver had the sheep beast titan, which is otherwise known as a bighorn sheep or a ram.Next is Zeke Yaeger, who inherited the beast titan from Ksaver in the year 842. He was the son of Grisha Yaeger and Dina Fritz, who were both prominent eldian restorationists and Zeke’s mother in particular was one of the last remaining eldians with royal blood. At the time of Zeke’s birth, the goal of the restorationists was to somehow reclaim the founding titan from Paradis island and use its amazing power to rebuild the eldian empire. Zeke felt an intense pressure from his parents to become a warrior but his heart was never really in it. Whereas Grisha was focused on eldian restoration, Zeke was a kid who just wanted to be a kid. After throwing a ball to Ksaver, the two became friends, with Zeke playing catch with Ksaver quite frequently from that point onwards. Meanwhile the eldian restorationists grew increasingly frustrated that Zeke showed no signs of becoming a warrior, and Grisha lost faith that his son could actually do it. During the years after his parents were sent to paradis island, Zeke began to regard Ksaver as his true father, as he actually made time to have fun with Zeke and viewed him as a person, rather than a tool. By the time Tom was ready to have a successor, Zeke had matured into a trustworthy and reliable warrior candidate, who was selected to inherit the beast titan. He also inherited Tom’s iconic glasses, which is something Zeke has worn in the series ever since we first saw him.Zeke’s beast titan was most reminiscent of a monkey.Other beast titans include the snake beast titan, the rabbit beast titan, the dog titan, deer titan, minotaur beast titan and Falco’s flying jaw titan + beast titan hybrid.
