Lets start with the revision for the letters that we have learnt. My first question is. Can you make different letters from this shape? Actually, you can make three different letters. If you add adot below that shape, it will be Ba. If you add two dots it will be Ta and if you add three dots above, it will be Tha. So, from that shape, you can get Ba, Ta and Tha. That, the other question is, can you makedifferent letters from this shape?Yes we can.Add one dot inside, you get Ja.No dots, it is Ha & if you add one dot above it is Kha. So, from that shape you have three different letters Ja, Ha and Kha. Well, if you canidentify these letters easily this means, you are ready for the next letters, while if not you will have to domore practice until no hesitation. Do you think that Ba, Ta, Tha and Ja, Ha, Kha are the only similar letters in the Arabic Alphabet?The answer is No, we still have more similar letters to learn and now lets see one of them. The letter that we are going to start with is DA. This is the shape for Da. It sounds as Da in Dad. So, today we are going to learn more about the letter Da. In fact, I am trying to teach you the sounds of the letters only and not their names because, the sound will help you to read, write any Arabic word.The speaking skills is usually covered when you learn an Arabic word as you have to say it and repeat it.So today I am going to teach you a new word for the letter Da. The word is Dajaj. Da-jaa-j, Dajaj which means chicken. How to write the letter Da. Here we have a picture of the step for writing the letter Da.Look carefully then find out how many steps do we have?Well! As learners at this level, you still in the beginner level. So reading task would be a simple taskwhich is just finding out the target letter. We have Da at the middle in Badar.Here at the end in Radda.At the beginning in Daraj.At the end of Ward.We don't have any Da in this word. Word that start with The sound and the word is Thahab. Thahab starts with The. Tha-hab, which means gold.Write it in a faster way as it is similar to Da except that we have to add a dot for The on the top. So while you are writing The, be sure that you write it on the line and you have to compare it with this animation.We have The at the beginning of Thail. Here there is no The, itsjust Da. Here you have The at the middle. In Ward there is no The. Here we have The at the end of Akhada, and in Latheeth we have two The, one in the middle and one at the end.Listening Skill: Can you listen The sound in the following sentences.1) Akala Rami Thora latheethah.2) Zahaba Rami ela al bait.So what are the words with The sound?Actually what we have isthora - cornLatheethah - deliciousThahaba - he went. Here, dont mix up between Thahab and Thahaba. Well, Thahab with silent Ba is gold while Thahaba is he went.Before we go to the next slide, I want you to translate this sentence into English. The sentence isThahaba Rami Ila al Bait. I am asking you to translate this into English because most of the word arefamiliar to you now.Again the sentence is Thahaba Rami ila albait. One more thing, always remember that, it is recommended not to learn the whole alphabet atonce.
