MitSna's MOT 2019: Streamlining Education for the Youth held on 14th of September, 2019 at GM Hall is a Massive Open Talk show organised by MitSna, a non-profit student-based group.

Summary: Prof N Rajmuhon tries to motivate the youth and impart a logical and scientific approach to solve most of the problem. He laments about the vast potential resources in our land which could not be translated into productive ones due to the lack of knowledge and commitment from our side.Prof N Rajmuhon Singh is a prominent scientist and educator having many degrees and accolades under his name. He did his MSc (Chemistry) in 1982 and MPhil (Chemistry) in 1983 from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. This was followed by his Doctoral training at Manipur University in 1990. He has been a faculty at MU since 1985 and promoted to full Professor of Physical Chemistry in 2003 and has held different capacities outside his research and teaching duties as Deans and HOD. Prof Rajmuhon has visited different countries expanding intellect and spreading his ideas. He takes a keen interest in the popularization of science.
The Massive Open Talk envisioned as MitSna’s MOT is being organized with the vision to not only increase the employability of our youth, but also create a generation of employers and young entrepreneurs and over and ability above instil in them a sense of commitment to the society.
Eminent Social Scientist Oja Dhanabir Laishram; Pooja Elangbam, ADC-IW, IAS; Thounaojam Brinda, ASP-NAB, MPS; Prof N Rajmuhon Singh, Professor of Chemistry & Dean, MU; Renedy Singh, Former Indian Football Captain; Roshnikumar Yambem, Founder, Globizs and Dr.Pibarel Meetei, Founder, Medilane spoke at the event.
The event aimed to bring to light the following issues:-
•The rigid and outdated education system in the state and the need to adapt to the changing pace of technology.
•The need to de-stigmatize nonacademic education and reinstate vocational training, sports, art, music and drama.
•The issue of ‘Education for the sake of education’.
•Institutionalization of institutions in Manipur turning education into a commodity.
