Lucky's performance of, No Truth in the World, came at the 80 minute mark of a non-stop 90 minute concert that took place in July, 1990, at Bay Street, Sag Harbor, NY. Lucky was just shy of 27 years old and he and his band were on their second tour of the U.S. Many thanks to Lucky and his manager, Richard Siluma for allowing us to videotape this show. Portions of this concert were broadcast on television on Reggae Strong, between 1990-1992. Special thanks to Preston Powell of Bay Street, for his graciousness and cooperation and for luring city folk to his lovely venue on Long Island for so many great summers. Please excuse the interlacing stripes that may appear briefly in this video. After consideration of the multiple devices this it might be viewed on, I opted for leaving the video just as it is. Step Lively shot this with mismatched analog cameras to the best of our ability at the time. That is why before releasing the full concert, the goal is to remaster this memorable performance from the original analog tapes and give it the quality broadcast that it deserves. It's hard to fathom this this live performance took place 28 years ago. Watching it again was painful...inspiring... exhilarating...made my heart hurt and soar. In the era of fake news, propaganda and misinformation, Lucky Dube remains on time, every time. There is no truth in this world. R.I.P. and love Lucky.
